World renowned shopping experiences line the city’s most famous avenue, and culture-defining performances are only a few blocks away at Radio City Music Hall and nearby Broadway theatres. Nearby Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station offer convenient connection to major rail lines (Amtrak, LIRR, MNR), and easy connection to the city via major subways.

Rooms & Suites

World-renowned designer Tony Chi created bright and spacious rooms and suites, playing off Midtown Manhattan’s pre-war architecture, with 12-foot ceilings, expansive windows, and subtle details like our light fixtures that echo vintage subway lanterns. The Two Bedroom Premier Suite includes a large sitting area, separate dining table and a kitchenette, and is the ideal space for a bridal party to get ready. The Empire Terrace Suite features two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, as well as breathtaking views. This suite offers the perfect backdrop for commemorative photos from its expansive wrapround terrace overlooking of the Empire State Building, New York Public Library and the Midtown skyline. The 5th Avenue View Suite is a perfect option for a suite for the parents of the bride and groom, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking 5th Avenue and The New York Public Library.

Unapologetically hidden, because all great stories happen behind closed doors, The Bar Downstairs and Kitchen at Andaz 5th Avenue is the perfect location for any wedding after party. With its speakeasy vibe and extensive cocktail menu, wedding guests will find this to be a great location to unwind at the end of the wedding night.

Photo Ops

The Empire Terrace Suite, with its wraparound terrace overlooking Fifth Avenue, The New York Public Library, and the Empire State Building, offers an ideal backdrop for first look, couple, and family photos. The suite’s spacious rooms and neutral decor ensure the couple are not upstaged by busy patterns or designs, and offer natural lighting through floor-to-ceiling windows. In the Apartment 2E event space, loft-apartment design offers stylish nooks to capture memorable moments, like the staircase leading from the Lobby Lounge, framed by a mural installation that evokes the turning pages of a book. Clean lines and industrial style once again provide a neutral background that put the couple at the forefront. And most iconic, visible from The Great Room and select suites, The New York Public Library’s front steps and facade are the quintessential setting for a couple’s wedding shoot. Capture the city’s energy across the street from the hotel and celebratory moments as you cross Fifth Avenue.
